TOPIC - Current encoding methods for data transmission are not tailored to 3d dataset. 3d Models of large size are increasingly available, especially since new acquisition techniques have been developped. This special session focuses on embedded encoding methods and optimization algorithms for transmission of 3d contents. We invite prospective authors to submit recent research on hierarchical and compressed data formats suitable for transmission, joint source-channel encoding methods and optimization algorithms for efficient network delivery of 3d contents.
